Terms of Service

1. Agreement and service scope

These Terms govern access to Mowgli’s consumer app, public website, partner tools, creator tools, and related services operated by SMAL Ideas LLC (“Mowgli,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Mowgli helps people discover pets, submit inquiries, view partner information, find community resources, and support participating organizations. Mowgli is not a shelter, rescue, veterinarian, emergency service, adoption decision-maker, or guarantor of any listing or outcome.

2. Eligibility, accounts, and access

You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and use only the account and role assigned to you. Consumer access does not grant partner or creator permissions. Partner and creator access may require separate approval, organization verification, and role assignment. A parent or legal guardian must supervise any use permitted for a minor.

3. Pet listings, inquiries, and visits

Listings and status updates are supplied by participating organizations or authorized users. Availability can change without notice. Each shelter or rescue controls its own eligibility rules, application review, acceptance, rejection, visit process, fees, and final placement decision. An accepted inquiry or a “Visit” status does not guarantee an adoption or prove that an in-person visit occurred.

4. User content and community features

You retain ownership of content you submit, including photos, lost-and-found reports, messages, and recommendations. You grant Mowgli a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, display, resize, and share that content only as needed to operate and improve the services. You must have the right to submit the content and must not post unlawful, deceptive, infringing, abusive, or privacy-invasive material.

5. Donations, purchases, and third-party services

Donation, merchandise, payment, mapping, authentication, and other features may be provided by third parties or participating organizations. Their terms, privacy practices, availability, fees, refunds, and receipts may apply. Unless Mowgli expressly states otherwise at checkout, Mowgli does not hold donor funds and does not promise that a donation is tax deductible.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the services, scrape or bulk-export data without permission, bypass access controls, impersonate another person or organization, interfere with service operation, upload malicious code, exploit animals or people, conduct fraudulent fundraising, or use Mowgli for unlawful discrimination, harassment, or commercial solicitation.

7. Safety and emergencies

Mowgli content is informational and is not veterinary, medical, legal, or emergency advice. Contact a veterinarian, animal control authority, emergency service, or other qualified professional when circumstances require immediate or expert help.

8. Intellectual property

Mowgli’s software, branding, illustrations, layout, and original content are owned by SMAL Ideas LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer ownership or authorize use of Mowgli marks outside the services.

9. Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, animals, partners, the public, or the services; investigate misuse; comply with law; or enforce these Terms. You may stop using Mowgli and use available account-deletion controls at any time.

10. Disclaimers and limits

To the extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, listing accuracy, pet availability, partner conduct, placement outcomes, or compatibility between a person and an animal. Any limitation of liability will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and will not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms as Mowgli evolves. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product or email notice. Questions about these preliminary Terms may be sent to smlane01@icloud.com.
